Since 2020, the modification status of the requirement is ANSI/TIA -568- D, released 2015, which changed TIA/EIA -568- C of 2009, modification B of 2001, and modification A of 1995, and the preliminary problem of 1991, which are now outdated.

TIA/EIA -568

TIA/EIA -568 specifies structured cabling system requirements for industrial structures, and in between structures in school environments. The bulk of the requirements specify cabling types, ranges, adapters, cable television system architectures, cable television termination requirements and efficiency qualities, cable television setup requirements and approaches of screening set up cable television.

  • TIA/EIA -568- D. 1 specifies basic requirements,
  • TIA-568-D.2 concentrates on elements of well balanced twisted-pair cable television systems
  • TIA-568-D.3 addresses elements of fiber optic cable television systems, and
  • TIA-568-D.4, dealt with coaxial cabling elements.
